USDOT: Free Right-to-travel

Result: USDOT Number for the following account(s) :

1) Social Security Number / Sole Proprietorship

2) Employer Identification Number / Revocable Living Trust

with the status of operating in a Private, Non-Commercial capacity, inter-state for the trust, and intra-state for both.

Proof:

1) Sole Proprietorship / SSN

USDOT Number : 4376389

2) Living Revocable Trust / EIN

USDOT Number : 4376303

here is the original .pdf that shows the trust was originally interstate. [the current update on the website of the FMSCA shows an update or change to where it is only showing intrastate, this was not an authorized act by anyone in-house, and therefore has been adjusted by someone on the side of FMSCA or USDOT, as an unauthorized adjustment to the account, without notice.]

Step 1:

Visit United States Department of Transportation's new USDOT registration portal via the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, here: https://portal.fmcsa.dot.gov/UrsRegistrationWizard/

This is where you apply to attain your Private, Non-commercial status, for inter- and intra-state operations with the Social Security Account number. This is important information: you must remember that the Social Security Number, or the Social Insurance Number, is a Sole Proprietorship business account number, the moment it is process via the Age of Majority act. This is where the name on your Certificate of Live Birth, or Official Birth Record, is viewed as a Land Title per the Minnesota Court Rules of Practice, rule 220 under Registration of Land Titles. (This registration is updated into and effective in the District Court system, a system that is in every State.)

For an example of how eye did this for the sole proprietorship, and the trust, proceed to Step 2 for real-life examples. Proceed with good faith, bona fide, thank you.

The Application(s) :

Step 3:

Free Biennial Update

It is required to do a 2 year update for your registration, called the Biennial Update.

This may be advertised to you in a manner to where you may have to pay +$500.00 USD in order to complete your Biennial Update. Since the structure and operation purpose on my end with the trust, and the sole proprietorship does not require complex filing, eye was able to elect going through the Free route via the FMSCA. (See the following document, see page 3).

When you complete this process, you will be required to do 3 main things:

  1. Your due diligence in reading the FMCSA's codes and how to apply the base requirements to your situation. This is what eye have done, to secure that the trust and the sole proprietorship had the correct registration, and was exempt from the registrations it did not have to complete. There is much information, much calls, texts, and offers... be prepared to accept or deny them.

  2. Uniform Carrier Registration (UCR). You will be required to figure out if your situation with the USDOT, requires you to have a UCR registration account number. After reading the codes, it was determined that the sole proprietorship Social Security account number, and the living revocable trust employer identification account number do not need to register with the UCR.
